Originally from a small town in Northern Ontario, Paitra was raised on the sounds of ‘70s rock and folk. That musical foundation that’s rooted in rich harmonies, storytelling, and analog warmth helped share her songwriting from the start. 

Paitra describes that “I’m You Answer” along with its intro companion song, “Love Calls” was inspired by “caring for somebody so deeply that you want to be the first person they think of when they need to call someone. I drew inspiration from when I first met my boyfriend a few years ago, about how I loved talking to him so much that I didn’t care if he called me at 3am when I was sleeping. I wanted to be the person who he thought of when he reached for his phone. The theme can also segue into being there for somebody in need, like a friend or family member who’s going through a rough time. You want them to know they can reach out to you whenever.”
